Sara Steffey McQueen
PAINTING + MIXED MEDIA
Sara is a "people person" and a love of nature. She loves to share her love of the Divine Creative. Sara's art takes her in a variety of directions: she loves paper, printmaking, and painting. But, Sara also enjoys the camera and has studied photography. Therefore, she finds that she creates in a number of veins. Sara creates in collage, watercolor and incorporate many printmaking techniques.
She lives in rural Indiana and loves the landscape. Many of Sara's paintings are a reflection of places and times of the year. Much of her work is watercolor. Sara is a Signature member of the Bloomington Watercolor Society and the Watercolor Society of Indiana.
Sara is a retired Art teacher, and have found herself still wanting to guide others. Now, she is placing her focus on women and helping them midwife their own discovery of the "face of their Guide" through a process called "The Art of Allowing". Sara works with women one-on-one. If this intrigues you, please contact her.
Some bodies of Sara's work she calls inner landscapes. In these pieces, she works abstractly with handmade papers from her own studio and from around the world, creating collages with printing techniques and found objects.
