Exhibit Dates: 06/01 - 06/30
Anabel paints impressionistic landscapes and colorful abstracts. She recently began teaching "fluid acrylic painting," as shown left. Anabel’s more traditional paintings include her landscapes which are often scenes from her home in Brown County on the banks of Lake Monroe. She had a solo show of her fluid paintings in Bloomington last month and has been invited to participate in a show in July at the Hoosier Salon gallery in New Harmony along with Patricia Rhoden, another well known artist from Brown County.
SCROLL SAW ART
Tom’s scroll saw art all started with using the scroll saw to make a rocker extension in a business project for a friend in 1987 and he has been going strong ever since. He uses the scroll saw to make small crosses for pins and necklaces and silhouettes . Tom's subjects are religious items, deer, eagles, wolves, and hummingbirds. He often likes to incorporate a background landscape behind his silhouettes.
He also enjoys the puzzles he makes of the different animals and from the scenes he has photographed in his travels. Tom’s designs are ever-popular with visitors to the gallery and many children of all ages enjoy his puzzles
