Anabel Hopkins has lived in Brown County for 18 years in a remote area bordering Lake Monroe and the Hoosier National Forest. These landscapes inspire her in her oil and pastel paintings. She also enjoys non-objective abstract painting to express energy, color and creativity.
She is a juried member of the Hoosier Salon and the Indiana Artisan Project. She is a grantee of the Indiana Arts Commission for the “Arts in the Parks” project where she paints and does workshops at state parks and lakes around the state. She also loves the state of New Mexico and paints that landscape as well.
She offers lessons at her home studio, Les Nymphéas, next to her Monet-inspired pond and Wisteria trellises.
