I have been a weaver and
spinner for 35 years, working with multi harness weaving and doing
Nantucket and Shaker basketry. I have studied with Yoshiko Wada, Ann
Bliss, Martha Wetherbee, and Ed Oppenheimer, and have formal art and
graphic design education. My husband Nixon and I moved to Brown County
five years ago from southern Massachusetts and we have two grown
children. I enjoy all aspects of fiber manipulation including
paper-making and casting. |
| Currently I am
working with several silk Ikat projects, and revisiting Theo Moorman’s
tapestry weaving on my looms. I continue to study and expand ideas in
Basketry and teach weaving, spinning, dying, and basketry with the Brown
County Artisans and in my studio. I have designed woven projects for
Interweave Press, Hand woven magazine, and the Weavers Journal, and have
exhibited my work in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New
York City.
